As the 1st hire to Goldman Sachs’ trading business, I have the privilege to create not only a new generation of trading technology, but also an extraordinary design team with an innovative, yet precise, design culture. I’m responsible for setting product vision and moving the mission forward through the desktop, web, and mobile experiences. I work cross-functionally with Product Managers, engineers, data scientists, and business leaders. I established the design process, and the global cross-functional communication and hiring process.

I joined when the trading business was reinvented by technology. I was responsible for identifying opportunities as a product design lead. After researching and interviewing users, I realized how important it is to create price transparency for commodity traders. Commodities are unlike other businesses; they have many more players, including exchanges, banks, and local providers. In order to create the transparency users need, I created a design direction that provides price and market depth, and created a united price center so that users can consume price data easily.
